This is another piece from last Fall's exhibit about women's issues at the Medina County Library. The name of the exhibit was "Torn Edges, Bonded Spirits." I believe many women can relate to the feeling of being "at loose ends," particularly young mothers feeling overwhelm by the demands of parenthood.

As a child, I dreamed of becoming a painter and my dream came true when I was nearing retirement and decided to try my hand at acrylic painting back in 2001. I quickly moved on from acrylics to watercolor, pastel, oil, encaustic, etc., always enjoying the experience of learning a new medium. I found that I love to experiment, play, and continually challenge myself to try new subject matter and/or new techniques. There is always something new to inspire me and keep me pushing myself to grow as an artist.
